Worked as a carver in the imperial quarries at Mitrovica, Yugoslavia for emperor Diocletian. Imprisoned for refusing to sacrifice to pagan gods during the persecution of Diocletian. Martyred after being falsely accused of the murder of an imperial officer named Lampadius, which eliminated a Christian and took suspicion off the real killer.

tortured and executed at Pannonia, Hungary; buried on the Via Lavicana
