- Husband of Saint Symphorosa.
Roman officer under Emperors Trajan and Adrian.
Public convert to Christianity with his brother Saint Amantius.
Resigned his commission, and retired to the country of the Sabines.
Emperor Adrian sent the Roman guards Caerealis and Primitivus to arrest the ex-officer; the brothers converted them.
Adrian ordered the judge Licinius to condemn them to death.
They were offered a reprieve if they would renounce Christianity; they declined.
