Profile: Friend of Saint Benedict. Bishop of Capua. Papal legate to Constantinople to repair the damage caused by the Acacian schism, but met ill-treatment by the schismatics and made no progress to reunification. On his death, Saint Benedict had a vision of Germanus' soul being carried to heaven.
