- Joined the Marist Brothers in 1818, making his initial vows in 1819 and his perpetual profession in 1826.
Served as a cook at Marlhes in 1820.
Taught at Vanosc and Boulieu from 1821 to 1826.
Served as Saint Marcellino Champagnat’s personal secretary in 1831.
Superior general of the Marists in 1839.
Under Brother Francois the Institute spread beyond France to Belgium and England.
Vicar general in 1860.
Retired to the Hermitage de Notre Dame in 1863.
