Married at age 15 to a knight named Anthony del Cavalcanti. Happily married for 25 years, and mother of several children. Widow. Augustinian tertiary, noted for her charity and austerity. Took a vow of silence, speaking only on Christmas night. Had an ongoing fight with worldly temptation, and given to ecstatic trances. Had the gift of healing. Spent her last three years bedridden; she preferred a pallet of stones and straw to a bed.
