Educated at Brasenose College, Oxford, graduating in 1566. Schoolmaster in London. Convert to Catholicism. Servant to Dr Thomas Stapleton at Douai, France. Studied at Douai, and at Rome. Ordained in 1576 at the English College at Rome. Returned to England on 27 August 1579. Arrested and sent to the Tower of London on 14 July 1581. Martyred with Blessed Thomas Ford and Blessed Robert Johnstone for the crime of priesthood.
