Son of a chieftain. Monk at Dryburgh monastery, Scotland in 522 where he gives himself over to prayer 7-8 hours a day. Preacher at Stirling, Falkirk, and along the Forth in Scotland. Reluctant abbot at Drybrouch. In his later years he retired to become a hermit at Dunbarton.

at Dunbarton in the 6th century of natural causes; relics at Saint Modan's church, Rosneith
