Nothing certain is known of him until 550 when he introduces communal monasticism into Galatia. Abbot at Dumio. Bishop of Dumio by May 561. Archbishop of Braga, Portugal by 572. Missionary to the Arian Suevians. Writer who left text of his homilies and sermons, and moral, liturgical, and ascetical treatises.
