Joined the Dominicans at Mantua, Italy in 1440. Travelling preacher throughout Italy. Noted for his deep prayer life and his devotion to the Rule of his order. Once tried to trade himself for a mother and daughter who had been captured as slaves, but the pirates refused the offer.
