Son of Antonio Arbues and Sancia Ruiz, members of the nobility. Studied philosophy at Huesca. Studied canon law at the University of Bologna. Augustinian canon at Saragossa, Spain in 1478. Inquisitor of Aragon in 1484. Forcibly converted Jews and Marranos (converts to Judaism) to Catholicism, which was considered acceptable at the time. Murdered by a group of Marranos.
