Noble family; possibly related to the emperor. To escape an arranged marriage, and give herself to the religious life, she made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and then to Rome. Nun in Rome. Returned to Constantinople to give away her wealth to the poor. She then returned to Naples to make a pilgrimage to the tombs of martyrs and apostles.
