Born in the Basque country. Dominican. Ordained on 14 June 1851. Missionary to the Philippines and then to Viet Nam. Appointed coadjutor vicar apostolic of Central Tonking, (modern diocese of Bùi Chu) Viet Nam and titular bishop of Centuria on 25 December 1857. Martyred with Saint Jerome Hermosilla.
