Soldier in the Roman Praetorian Guard. Christian from his youth, living in quiet praise of God. Around 303, the elderly Victor was arrested in Milan in the persecutions of Maximian. He was tortured for his faith, basted in molten lead, and killed. Martyr. Saint Gregory of Tours wrote of miracles that occurred at Victor's grave.
