Roman soldier. As the emperor Diocletian offered sacrifice to a statue of the goddess Ceres, Zeno laughed at and riduculed the whole procedure. His jaw was shattered for having spoken, and he then was martyred for his sentiment.

beheaded in 303 in Nicomedia (modern Turkey)
