Don Bosco's Writings on CD-ROM - Multimedia Encyclopedia on Saint of Youth - Rome - 28 March 2000 (ZENIT)
The Salesian Institute of History in Rome has published the 10 volumes of Don Bosco's writings (in Italian) on an interactive CD-ROM, including his autobiography, "Oratory Memories."

Moreover, the CD-ROM features 1,700 letters that the saint wrote to people of all walks of life, in addition to his Spiritual Testament and most important pedagogical writings.

There is also a study on the "Preventive System," written by professor Pietro Braido, an expert in the matter, and a general bibliography on Don Bosco with over 3,300 titles. The texts and indices are interactive, and are ideal for reading, study, and research. The CD-ROM includes 49 original photographs of Don Bosco, 27 of his manuscripts, and 30 minutes of polyphonic music composed by two of his early pupils, as well as a film in 4 languages.

To obtain the CD-ROM, published by the Salesian Athaeneum Library (LAS) of Rome, send a message to: las@upsurbe.it.

"I think this publishing initiative will become a modern and useful instrument for documented and accurate information on the holy teacher of Turin," Fr. Francesco Motto, director of the Institute of History, said.
