A ceremony which takes place on Holy Thursday symbolizing the moment in the Passion of Christ when He was stripped of His garments. The celebrant assisted by deacon and sub-deacon removes from the altars of the church the altar-cloths and all ornamentation, leaving but the crucifix and candlesticks.
